gopro helmet hero

Santa brought forth the above mentioned camera.  Question:  what high speed/high capacity SD cards are y'all using?  Time to look up Wali's mounting options...

I have had great luck with the Kingston SD HC 16 GB class 4.  I got mine from Fry's and was cheaper than the GoPro site.  At the time the first GoPro HD Heroes were made, Class 4 was fast and that is what was recommended. If you have the GoProHD Hero2, the class 10 is just a little more expensive at Amazon.com.

GoPro is great for documenting your trips. Mine is attached to a 12' paint extension pole with the handlebar mount. Gets the whole scene. I let it run most of the time I'm fishing. .

I use a 32 GB Sandisk. I also bought a spare battery either on eBay or amazon. Your next challenge will be disk management. I use a dedicated 1TB Western Digital external drive to save raw files because video will quickly clog your hard drive.

Thanks, guys.  I grabbed the 32 size version of the above Kingston speed 10.  Stoked to mount it to the mountain bike tomorrow.

Congrats on the new GoPro!  If you need one of those stick down to your paddle board bases let me know I may have an extra one.

Prices are relatively about the same any where you go.   If your planning on getting a Hero2 then you could order one from Hook1 and use their coupon code hook12011 to get 10% off your order which will offset the shipping cost and save you a little dough.

Santa probably figured that the world has already seen enough of the fish Spot catches, and figured Jr. Spot would be better to document in HD.    

Maybe Jr. has some Dirt on Dad that required a new GoPro to buy his silence to Mom 

I would be afraid to put a camera in the hands of my child for fear I would become the focus of a future virus YouTube video with the word "FAIL" in the title.

Like I've said before, it's just an investment in their future decision about which home to put my cranky ole, incontinent butt in. 

I sure hope I get to take it out though.  What do you want to bet he makes me leash it.........

Santa mamma got me a Hero 2 as well. 
My kids were outta town with grand parents through Christmas, so we just opened presents together tonight after they got home.

Hope to figure out how to use the thing, and get into a good video editor that doesn't piss me off too quick.
