OK, I've officially got the days off for the Willy opener. (17-18) I'll be able to fish on at least friday and saturday.  I'd love to meet up with people on both days if possible.  Let me know if you plan on being there.

I'm not sure if I'll launch from Oak St. or from GR park yet.

I should be there both days Justin fishing with my dad. We'll more than likely be launching out of George Rogers at first light.

I'll be launching early from one or the other on the 18th.  Probably at GR, because I will be going to an appt at 1:00.

If I manage to get back from Cali Thursday night I'll be there on the 17th too
I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

I'll be there Friday launching from Cedaroak boat ramp up river. Probably fish well up river from GR. Saw a guide doing ok there last time we fished it.

I am hoping to get out on the 18th. I have to flight down to the bay the next day so it is a little iffy. If I do go out it will probably be from GR park. I will either see you all out there or be wishing good luck from home.

I am planning the first Friday for sure.  Not sure about Saturday yet but will likely be out that day as well.
PROGRESS IS JUST BEING THERE!

The next few days are going to drag a$$ :(

Any recomendations on a hotel near (or within 20 miles) of GR Park?

I figure cheap is probably fine since you will be on the water most of the time :) There is also a Dick's Sportings Goods right next to it and the location is pretty safe, so you shouldn't have to worry much about someone stealing your yak.

I went out on a little shake down cruise Sunday, I launched in the Columbia near Woodland and cruised over by the light house on Sauvies island and then up Multnomah channel a little ways hoping to mark some springers with the fish finder, springer action was none existent, but there were 2 PB's hooked up with sturgeon about a half a mile up the channel from the Columbia. The one boat I watched landed a monster oversized, they guessed about 12', all I saw was the head and it was as big as a 5 gal. bucket, and the pectoral fins were at least 11-12 inches long.
If it wasn't for flashbacks, I'd have no memories at all.
