So I sent a msg to the RV campsite through their webpage earlier this week asking about a reservation....have not heard back.  What is their usual response times?  I hate to pick up the phone when I can email.

Between tending to the llamas and manicuring the pitch and putt course, the good folks at Chinook Bend have very little time left for Twitter and email. Lee is right, just call.

The official announcement is coming soon.  I've already confirmed with Chinook Bend for Father's Day weekend.  Depoe Bay is the venue.  Probably 1st light till 1:00PM.  Just need to get all our endorsements from the local authorities so our permit will get approved.

I'm glad to hear that so many of you are chomping at the bit to attend!

Don't forget; There will be lots of volunteer opportunities for competitors and their significant others.  If we get enough volunteers, the individual efforts required are small.

Volunteer Opportunities:
- Fish Weighing at the Park adjacent to the Depoe Bay Launch
- Fish prep for our fish fry
- Fry cook (For the Awards Banquet Potluck)
- Hall set-up
- Auxilliary prize solicitors
- A/V coordinator (for a banquet slideshow of all the days action)

Oly - There are lots of tent spots but the ones with firepits etc. are on a 1st come / 1st serve basis.

-Spot-

Spot,  Throw me in where ever you need help.  My wife and I will be camping somewhere in the vicinity.

Actually received a call from them a few mins ago.  Tent site reserved for the 12th to 17th.  I offered my help if she needs any assistance setting up for our group or anything prior to the bulk of the attendee's arrivals.

I'll also put it out there if the orgs need any pre-work done, setup, anything I can do while I have the free time, hit me up.  I am happy to help out in any way.

I will probably ask this in a different thread too, but since I am staying longer, I will be trying to hit up Siletz Bay area for some crabs to eat.  I would appreciate any recommendations on launch spots and tips for that area.

Just got the the 14- 17th off from work so as long as no health issues get in the way, I plan to pre fish thurs and Fri. What are the costs for a 3 day license, Evasive fishing thingamagig and any other incedentals? That's an out of site(state license). From Seattle what's the approx drive time? Hope to see many i've never fished with or met. Not sure if my wife will be healthy enough to make the trip and we also have a 100lb Malamute/lab that if she can go,would need help with while i'm fishing. What a pain. Maybe he could dive for lings.

If you remind me, I got you covered on the invasive species permit.  I have an extra.

The Permit is the only thing I think the RV Campground cannot handle onsite, so info on where and cost would be great!!!

REI is the best.  They do not charge that lame $2 fee just to charge you a $5 fee.  There is a location just off I-5 in Tualatin on the way to the ORC.  It is on the west side of I-5 at the Lower Boones Ferry Road Exit (exit 290).

There are also some eats and a Dicks sporting goods at the same exit if it's about dinner time :)

One thing about REI, they do not sell the fishing licenses.  At least they haven't in the past.  You can get those at any Fred Meyer (also the invasive species permit).

They were able to handle it onsite last year.

Doubt I can take that Thurs. off as well, but if you're willing to head down Thurs afternoon/evening I'd have space to carpool with you and your wife and dog.  And one other person too.

From Mt Vernon it's about 7 hours drive.  From where you are probably 6 hours.  Assuming low-moderate traffic.
