I'll probably be heading out, leaning toward Depoe on Sunday. Not 100% sure yet though.

I will most likely be at PC this weekend.  Probably Sunday and hopefully Monday too.

I'm all in for meeting up at the coast on Sunday.  I guess I'd lean a bit towards PC since it's a little closer and I've surfed the spot for 15 years.  Rawkfish, do you want some company?  I'd go Depoe as well if folks wanted to go there.  Let's keep an eye on the conditions over the next few days.

As far as time of travel goes, PC & DB are pretty similar, DB is about 15 min longer.  I'm up for either.  Anybody wanna carpool?

Rawk, I may hit PC too on Sunday. Are you staying out there Sunday night or coming back?

My son and I are at Nehalem until Saturday morning. We're going to walk out on the jetty at Garibaldi in the morning and see if there's any rockies bitin' and what the water looks like. If it looks doable we'll launch the TI either in the afternoon or Friday. Also considering Jetty Fishery at Nehalem or Netarts for crabbing and rockfish. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Fished Hagg today with SteveHawk and it was a total zero, no one got anything out of about 6 boats we saw. Went by the hatchery at North Fork of the Nehalem and met EOBasser working there. He gave us a tour. It was great to get to meet him.

I'm going to shoot for staying Sunday night and fishing Monday too, but I would like to have someone to fish with on Monday.

BTW, given what the forecast looks like now, Sunday might...  MIGHT be a good chance for those of you that do not have much surf launch experience to get some practice.  We'll have to wait another day or two to be sure.  If that's the case, I'll be happy to provide some tips before launching and landing.  Monday looks like it might be a little more challenging than Sunday, but not by much.  Waterman, sure, that'd be cool, come on out.

It looks like Sunday is 2 to 3 foot swells.
Would this be a good time for a nebie?

That's a huge opportunity for anyone looking to practice surf launches. Rawk's one of the more experienced surf launchers I've seen yet and would be a huge help for anyone that's ready to practice launching and explore Pacific City.

Wish I could do that on Sunday.  Saturday, yes, but the drive from up here is too long for a Sunday.

In my opinion, 2 to 3 foot swells at Pacific City is a good day for getting into the surf if you are a newbie since that's almost as tame as it gets.  We'll have to watch the forecast though and see what happens.  Be prepared to get rocked though.  If you've never launched/landed a kayak in the surf, 2 to 3 feet isn't a cake walk.
