The bite wasn't as hot as it was the last time I was out, but it seemed as though people were able to find their fish.  Wind was pretty strong in the morning from the south east, but died out gradually and by sometime after noon it turned into a really nice day.  Sun was shining all day behind some high level clouds.  Surf was pretty mellow, but I don't think it was the two feet that some sources were predicting.  There were plenty of people on the water so there was probably plenty of pics & videos taken.  Hope to see lots!  I'll get some stuff up a little later.

It was awesome seeing everyone on the water!

Pelagic & Bsteves in front of the rock

The northwest side of the rock was a nice place to hang out in the morning when the wind was kickin'.  At one point there was around 9 of us all fishing in the shadow.

Yaksurf with his first fish of the day

I was finally able to find a ling over thirty.

The surf was pretty mild unlike what had been forcasted. Although, I caught Jammer catching a wave to the chest just prior to launch with the GoPro.

After that it was pretty smooth sailing out to the rock.

There we ran into a bunch of guys including Sinker  who was checking out the kelp.

I spent a little time in the shelter of the rock but decided to head out more towards the buoy where Yaksurf and I fished together for a majority of the time.  Yaksurf picked up a nice ling.

I got a nice cabbie in a hole I found in the reef.  I should have marked it, because by the time I got the hook the cabbie bent out of its mouth, I was blown way off.

Bent hook.  Love the Big Hammer!  I have no idea how the fish bent it this way.  Usually the hooks get straightened out.

Yaksurf hooked up with nice big ling.  Sorry about the photos, but a little salt water dried on the lens and I hadn't noticed.

I hooked into my personal best ling.

Yaksurf had a good bendo going, I can't remember what it was he caught.  It may have been his big cabbie.

After getting blown around for awhile, we headed to the shelter of the rock where we ran into Bsteves.

There were quite a few people out there and even the legendary bass master EOBasser made an appearance. It was a blast and I can't wait to head back out there again.

Sweet lings Jeff and Craig. I can see why you guys love the salt after fishing Depoe Bay yesterday. Can't wait to try Pacific City with you guys.

I'm jealous! Was planning on making it down, until I realized Saturday wasn't the 8th as I had thought, but instead the 7th, which is my fiancee's birthday...  And to make matters worse, we went down to the north coast for the day, to my favorite little hideaway/surf launch, and watched knee slappers and bright shiney water roll in all day  :'( Oh well, glad you guys had a good day!

It was good to see everyone down there. I didn't get a chance say hi to everyone but got to talk to a few.  Yaksurf came over and introduced himself in the parking lot after the fishing.  That was cool he's a nice guy.
