I bought a kayak about 3 weeks ago ( my first one ) its a green Malibu X-factor with an X-wing attachment... I've heard a rumor that it used to be painted camo and owned by someone on this forum, It's set up for a live well with some sort of PVC contraption that mounts on top and odd wiring with some sort of pump and tubing that's capped off below..I've got an idea of how this thing might work but I figure if whoever invented could chime in it may cut off some learning curve.

Thanks

So awesome to see my old baby getting some blood on it again!!  I can answer any questions you have about it as I installed every piece myself.  Bummer that guy took the paint off... I thought it was classy!

BTW, here's the listing of it for sale:

Ahhhhh yes, she used to wear camo.  She used to do a lot of silly things back in those days.  Together they were invincible.  Just a couple of brash young kids, exploring, pushing limits.
Alas, as they grew up, they inevitably grew apart.  His eye settled on a pale girl who was all hip and she was drawn in by a man who would lovingly wipe away the make-up of a rebellious child and love her like the woman she'd become.

That looked really sweet painted camo, I may have to do that again since I'm also an avid waterfoul hunter !! ...so rawkfish did you use the open area behind the seat as your live well ? then suck water in from the bottom and shoot it down from the PVC thing ?

Although that isn't how it was originally designed, that would work well with a little modification.  Please tell me the guy who sold it to you also gave you the yellow bag that had some fittings on it.  That yellow bag was the livewell that could be re-installed in the middle hatch and there are a couple of tubes that will hook up to the fittings on the inside underneath the seat.  We might just need to take this to pm since there's a lot to explain about that boat.   ::)

Damnit.   :angry7:

Is there any way you can get ahold of him and try to see if he still has it?  It isn't that big of a deal if you don't plan on using a livewell, but you may find more and more discussion on this forum about how beneficial a livewell can be for ocean fishing in the Northwest.  ;)
