Forecast is looking a little too choppy for PC. I'm probably going to stick around DB and chase some silvers.

Anybody else planning a visit to "The World's Smallest Harbor" this weekend?

I was thinking about it. Any idea how far out they are? Oh, but it's closed for coho on Sunday, just Thursday through sat I believe.

Nope, Noah has better reading comprehension skills than I. Thurs-Sat it is.

Checked TW's report, said it was hit and miss today.

North of cape falcon is 7 days per week, I think. What do you think about cannon beach or seaside? Or is your boat at Depoe?

Too bad, I think this might be the last weekend. I think they hit about half of the quota last weekend.

MONKEY BEGONE!!! (and kindly don't come back)

Got out this AM, lots of sun, some swell, good long period. Fishing the Coho Bolo out of my goodie bag from NWKA salmon derby 2 years ago at YB for mojo. Paddled nw, quick hookup with a jack that promptly spits it. Hours pass, no love, got out to 220 fow, ghost town. Switch to pink kwikfish, come back in to 165' pow 26" king at 12:45 off of BB. Come across a pb cluster, off of Fogarty, Marked a few but no takers. Switch back to Bolo. I'm hypnotized by nonstop sonar/DI watching, but awakened by wind turn. I figure I'm probably 3 and small change n of the hole, push goto whistle. 5.5 miles, "Oh F@$K." Wind p/u, bad grind, had to pull gear. By about 4:30 I'm 1 n of the whistle and wind has come down some, came across a pb and it reminded me I need another fish. 4:45 bam 27" silver. Heading in sucked. A couple of Otis homies run out of gas and the 40'er was towing them in. They had a snafu and we had a DB traffic jam. I sat in the wall wash until the coast was clear. One nice pb let me go in ahead of him, which I much appreciated. There were some big sets rolling in, smashing up the sea wall, but I caught a break. What Spot said, longer period more speed/energy. Great day, maybe I'll anchor up in the river tomorrow.

Media card reader MIA, iPod pic for now.

That's a beautiful haul!  I'm sure that after such a long time and such a hard effort, every bite of those fish is going to be savored.  As Yaktrap said, you earned those two.

You're the man LB! I bet the beer tasted good after that day! Any idea of the total miles? Must have been up there.
