Does anyone have any waterproof cases that they like that fit an IPhone or a camera. Something cheaper than a life case or an otterbox just to be used on the water. I would like to use my apps to track paddles and also to take pictures but want to have a place to secure it and keep it dry and safe while I am not using it. What do you guys use?

Well i know you said not lifeproof, but I love mine alot. Not just for on the water either. I saw them for $60 on amazon. I think that's a decent price.

I used to use the drypak for iphone. Clipped it onto my pfd and that served me well for awhile.

I have a small bag for my iphone.  I would not recommend it.  Just spend the money on the case, you will be happier.  It has been reviewed by Rory.

That or get the Casio G'zOne phone.  It's Android based, but it's waterproof without any extra cases.

In Coos Bay I won a ram mount waterproof case that seems to work really well.
I have a drybox that I use, so if you want it, I will donate it to ya :)

They're down to $50. Is your holding up pretty well, Rory? As far as being shock proof, are they pretty sturdy? My otter box seems to not be holding up very well, the rubber stretches out after a while and it's bulking. But it's protected the phone the many times I've dropped it.

I have been using this Sealine case I picked up at REI. It's not very pretty, but it works well with the iphone and can be easy clipped and secured to me or the boat. Shooting photos through it are not the best, but that's probably true of any waterproof case. Plus I'm probably just being picky. I would recomend going to the store to try it out and make sure you get the right size. My phone fit in the first one I got, but it was tight and tough to get in and out. The next size up was perfect and made it easy to get the phone in and out, even with my normal case on the phone still.

Walmart has a drybox in the camping section for under $10, its big enough for an iphone keys and wallet. McLendons has Otterboxes for under $20 it's big enough for an iphone and keys.

This is the newest Olympus (that I am aware of) and I really want it...bad!  But, I would be more than willing to let someone else buy it and try it out first.  ;D  It has additional lenses that can be purchased that thread on the outside of the housing so the waterproof integrity will not be compromised.  The price is what is holding me back. It's almost $400. :(

It would be a wonderful addition to the bottom of the Willamette along with two of my previous cameras.

Hopefully, better that the last one.  I have sought and received therapy since that brutal day at Westport.  The next salmon will be gently beaten.  I have also broke out the wiffle balls and have improved my accuracy.

I bought the lifeproof case but I hated the sound. Could barely make out a normal conversation.  Worked great when I paired it up to a Bluetooth headset until I washed the headset...twice. Now I'm bak to using a ziplock bag. Can use inside the bag when raining or rough. Easy to take our when weather is good and water calm.
