Excellent.  I just made a note in my company's online vacation calendar for that Friday indicating I will not be working that day.  How satisfying that was!

Don't tempt me Justin, It took some self control not to take the whole week off.
But I'm trying to budget my vacation days as I'd like to try to make the Gimme Shelter event in California if possible.

This is the only "extended, out of the area"  trip that I'll take all year.

I really enjoyed last years trip and I hope to make this one even better.  The weather screwed up a couple days.

Won't salmon/steelhead be running past Chinook Bend in July?

It's a fall run at Chinook Bend, summer steelhead on the Columbia might be an option though.

The Siletz River has a big run of Summer Steelhead that fishes pretty solid into July, then the salmon start showing up in August. There's also a lot of crabbing 2 miles down river closer to Mo's near Taft Park. Be very cautious of outgoing tides close to the mouth of Siletz bay though. It's very crabby if you play the tides just right. Very fishy too, just go with someone that knows the area.
