Option #2 actually cuts off the dropoff where many people fished in years past.  There is no need to extend the boundary to the south of the line from the buoy to the hole.  All boats are supposed to exit to the ocean while passing to the right (north) of the red buoy.

Guys, I'm going to be blunt here.  In years past I have heard complaints of people fishing in the channel.  I'd rather craft the rules such that things are crystal clear and I don't need to hear any complaints.

-Allen
Whatever scenario keeps contestants from fishing in the channel but gives us the most area to fish is the best option imo

+1. Yup.  That's the goal!

BTW, last year I saw at least one person cross from the inner north side across the kelp to the outside.

Please help us sleep easier at night at don't do that!  It breaks in there and is a hard area to attempt a rescue.

yikes! I went north inside for a while last year, but took one look at that & paddled back south & around. it not only breaks with the sets, but there's also often a hard rip coming off the point that can quickly push you right into the surf zone. That's if you miss the point break. not worth the risk.

I totally agree that you're doing an awesome job Jammer and helpers. Keep it up--we're getting closer.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent
