Holy hell, maybe I can actually win something this year.

I suck at drawings. (and fishing)
There's a very good chance.

Fisherman's Marine also just now donated an Inflatable PFD.

The prize list just keeps getting better. Awesome Micheal.
Question ???  Are the top 10 fish going to be the actual prize winners--and then there will be a lot of drawings beyond that ? If so--everyone-- new and old salts alike -- stand a great chance at coming home with some serious bling......definitely worth the price of admission.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Yup. People will be at Chinook Bend Campground starting on Friday and a few will probably be there earlier too.

From what I can tell------there will be quite a few there Thursday night so we/they can pre-fish Friday. Wouldn't be surprised if a few are there before that.
No need to camp in your car--come on down to Chinook Bend and join in the festivities. Don't be shy  ::) ::) ::)
Besides sharing "tall tales" , you might pick up a few tips on fishing Depoe Bay, there might be some trading going on, and if you have other ,related ,questions someone can probably answer them for you.

Yes, the top 10 finishers are receiving prizes, then everything else will be raffled.

One of the NCKA guys is asking what salmon fishing is like around DB in case he wants to target them before or after the tourney.  Anyone?

-Allen

Yeah there should be some clipped silvers running around out there. Kind of depends on water temps whether they are in striking range for kayaks. They always sit right on that line between warm and cold. The bait like it warm, and the salmon cross the line to get a belly full, then go back to chill. Where that line will be on our weekend is tbd. You might find kings too if you run deep enough.

A test run at Depoe Bay yesterday produced some nice sized Cabbies.

Could it be a Cabazon that wins the ORC this year?

I guess we'll find out in 4 weeks.

Cheers!

Does anyone want to split a camping spot with me? Don't really want to shell out for a whole spot all to my self in my tent.

We're all splitting the big group campsite.  They'll charge by the tent I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong).  No, I won't share a tent with you.   ::)

Very nice cabby Jammer! I can't wait for ORC!
Mark & I picked up my new Outback yesterday, got it all outfitted and ready to go! Mark, Catch & I took our bouts out for a test run today out of Westport! Didn't catch anything but we had a good time. I absolutely LOVE this boat! WAY better in the salt than the Native, I had no problem with boat wakes, very stable boat! Now if we can just catch a fish! It might take a few trial runs to get my " mo-Jo" back, but I will be ready!!!
Donating to Poseidon isn't so bad, maybe he will grant you new armor & weapons!
