Good news,  Oregon will open a one-day retention fishery in the lower Willamette River (including Multnomah Channel and Gilbert River) on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Does it make sense to organize some sort of NWKA sturgeon event? I'd be fully down for participating in such a thing. I'm already working on the time off.

I will most likely be present for this opener. I have the time off....it's just a matter of funds now.

I think making an event out of it would be a fantastic idea. Keeping in mind that it might be a zoo out there with powerboaters, I still think we can make it work.
Mark, Nate, let me know what I can do to help.

I will be there for sure. Paul taught me a lot at the last sturgeon opener despite not catching any fish...I still feel pretty noobish though. If anybody wants an anchor buddy I'd be happy to be that guy  ;D

I am down for it.  I can help show people the ropes as well.  I can let someone hook up to me too if they don't have an anchor system and don't want to buy one for a 1 day season.  It would be BYOB, though. ;D
