2014 ORC Fish Taco Feed

Just got a message from DeaFish that the deep fryers he was able to get for us the couple of years are NOT going to be available this year.  If you have a propane fired deep fryer, or have the ability to borrow one, PLEASE speak up.  This is a critical piece of equipment.

The thought crossed my mind.  But I was going to give a little more time to see if anyone was able to volunteer a fryer.  I'll look into what it would cost to rent one.

I did find on Ebay a smaller version of what Vern was able to provide previously.  It looked like about $200 shipped, and I figure we'd need 2.  I can't afford to spring $400 for fryers, especially since I'll probably rarely/never use them at home.  But it gives us a reasonable ceiling for what makes sense to spend on a rental.

I can bring a turkey fryer and a discada or a big pot.  Just need to get 3-4 people to do so and we're set.

I can also bring whatever is leftover on the list as the date approaches.  Just hit me up, or I'll check back in later.

I'll bring a propane bottle for my fryer too.

I'll bring several heads of cabbage and a couple of quarts of sour cream.

Here's a list of what we still need (in no particular order).  We've got 10 days until the tournament.  I know Allen's offered to get whatever isn't claimed, but he's done so much for us as it is (he is the founder of this forum, and administrator) that I don't want him to feel like he has to shell out a lot of money and the time to go shopping for all this stuff.

100ct corn tortillas

Fruit salad
garbage can(s) for chilling keg(s)
Potatoes (for french fries - or just frozen fries/tots)

We'll also need to organize for the awards ceremony.  For that we will need the following items.
Firewood (Got some, need more - Thanks FlyGuy)
Projector
Screen
laptop to run photos
cords for the various cameras to download photos/video

I'll bring corn tortillas too.  Let's cook some of those on Allen's disc instead of deep frying them too
