 I agree with Craig... keep it simple the first time and tweak your tournament depending on the results.

 A good suggestion was : a small "buy in"   
                                      total length of all fish caught within ODFW rules
                                      set some boundaries (Tillamook Bay covers a big area)
                                      have fun with like minded folk
                                      watch this event grow
 
  I will commit to coming down-- even with the short notice.
  Are there quiet a few places a guy could camp (either trailer or tent) near-by ?
  You will probably want to have a central starting point/sign-in place for all participants.

  Look forward to seeing this take off. Now we have 3.

$15 bet fer total length of all legal fish and prize for single largest crab ? Is that peaking more interest . If you don't want to join the pool come have a fun day fishing anyways !

I'm in negotiations about scheduling with the wife-unit. I'm hoping to get out there and if I can, and even if I can't I can donate a Gerber Fatty Knife to the prize pool. I think the PC thread just pushed me over the top.

The barview campground is rather big, but not sure what would be available.  Should have plenty of spots if it rains due to cancelations.

Is waterman showing some interest? Old Mill Rv park is next to the launch and has ample tent spots not sure if there booked that weekend but I'm guessing not.
