I actually grew up at Barview (Family would summer therefor the two summer months). I have had some interesting nights also. The large majority of the times have been pleasant.  If you want to be away from people and don't mind a little wind, then reserve a spot in sections U or W. I see that they have also added X and Y. They look intriguing but my guess is terribly exposed.

Man, I've still got 2 weeks to cash in some soda cans for gas money..... I'm still considering this event.
Just plan on winning and you get your gas money back, if we muster up some more players you should be able to buy lunch also, or you could just eat your catch :banjo:

A trick I learned years ago camping on big weekends at the crowded Sand Lake black top area is to fire up a generator, (or plug in if you have hookups) and aim several 500 Watt shop lights at the parties.  They WILL eventually get tired of the bright light and either shut down their party, or bargain with you to turn them off.

Noise pollution is one thing, but light pollution is another to a stoned or drunk with dilated eyeballs.   ;D

That's awesome! I love it.

there is also a small city park in Bay City, Al Griffin Memorial Park
http://www.ci.bay-city.or.us/AGPark.htm

I've never stayed there but its inexpensive and seemed clean the times I have driven by.

that is the right and privilege of any free American."

Great job on the fishing.

It's so weird to see Greenling larger than the Blacks.

Those small Blacks would be destine for the fryer whole.   :headbang:

Jojo, you'll never keep blacks that small once you get them in the open ocean.  Here's my Pal with one pushing 7.5 lbs.

Borrowed some rules of another event and edited for our purpose.
Were still on for June 14th 6am launch behind the fish cleaning house in Garibaldi should be plenty of parking if not I will get clearance to park by the old mill's office building ( turn on south 3rd from hwy 101 it is on your left across the street from the lions park at the bathrooms)

The boundries will be the entire bay from Pacific Oysters pier across to the dyke access road on the opposite side of the bay to the mouth of the bay : No crossing the bar! And tide water area of the Miami River

1.   All fish entered must be caught by hook and line (i.e. hooked, fought, and landed) from a human power kayak, canoe, SUP/boards of no greater than 42" wide. The watercraft must be powered by a double bladed paddle (kayak style), leg drive system (Mirage or others), or single bladed paddle (canoe or SUP). Double/tandem paddlers are allowed.  Inflatable vessels paddled kayak or canoe style meeting the maximum width restrictions are allowed. Float tubes, belly boats, kick boats, and the like are NOT allowed. Vessels paddled rowing style are NOT allowed.

No mothershipping (defined in more detail in rule #6) allowed, the kayak must be under human powered control from launch until landing. Sails and/or motors are not allowed onboard even if they are not used.

All entries must be caught without aid from anyone else and using methods deemed legal according to the body of water from which they are caught.

2.   All boats must be launched from Garibaldi kayak launch or the port docks ( no fee at yak launch)after check in. All fish entered must be caught in Tillamook Bay waters. Or it's tributaries

3.   Only fish that you can legally retain are eligible. Catch and release is ok with a marker to be given on launch day and a clear photo with mesuring device.

4.   The biggest fish from each angler's catch will be used towards the angler’s standing in the Biggest Fish Prize for the biggest fish, in the event of a tie the second biggest fish in the anglers catch will be used to break the tie and determine the winner.

Single largest crab legal to retain, Dungeness crab male only , or red rock crab in the event of a tie same as fish rule

Additional categories for prizes given can include, but are not limited to:

•   Largest/Heaviest stringer (single day, tournament duration)

Use of a vessel(e.g. water taxi, ferry, or privately owned boat) to travel to a destination for overnight or multi-day trips is not considered mothershipping.
