Depoe Bay Thursday

I'm looking at Thursday, MSW and a couple other sources indicate it may be doable, projected wind is out of the south but light till afternoon.  Weds the wind is out of the north but the swell is larger with a shorter period.

Myself SamM and Cosmo are also looking at Thursday, Sam isn't going to commit yet haven't got a reply from cos but if your going to make it I will commit to Thursday but I'm flexible ( with time that is).

Looks like some of us are trying to shoot for Pacific City this Thursday for an am launch. Drop time tba

Monkeyfist , junehogs , and I will be dropping in at Pacific City at 6 am. Anyone else would like to join feel free to post or just come out for some fishing.

Thursday is out for me for sure.  I'm good for Wednesday and/or Friday for PC.

Did you get your immersion wear figured out? If no I may be able to lend you a dry top if someone in Portland wants to grab it for you.

Rant taken at full value.  I will make my purchase before ORC if I don't roast in the dry top I will go that way if I do I will go with a surfers wet suit style top. And again thank you.

Though conditions still look great, I'm not going to be able to be in Pacific City on Thursday.  Best of luck to you guys - and make sure you keep in mind all safety suggestions/rants/etc!

First time in the ocean, should I take a crab pot or concentrate on fishing?

First time in the ocean, should I take a crab pot or concentrate on fishing?

As I think I told you in PM, my first time in the ocean was a reality check where I didn't even get a line wet. 
Spent the entire time chumming.  Didn't even consider crabbing as an option. 

I would say take a pole along with the intent to get a line wet, but be ready for reality to set in and smack you around bit.

Good advice. Keep it simple .

   Take video.............lots of video
