Depoe Bay Thursday

Since I have entered in the ORC I'm thinking I need to get out in the open ocean a few times before the 12th of July as it would be embaracing for a lot of you guys if a new comer to the sea wins it .... All kidding aside it would be great if anyone that is going out PC could let me tag along and maybe show me the ropes I'm usually available most days so post a reply or send me a pm I'm in Tillamook

Anyone going out pacific city this weekend?

That forecast is building. 4-5 foot swell will be a big challenge to punch through the surf, especially for your first time. Depoe would be a better option if you wanted to drive a bit further.

The forecast that far out isn't every reliable, but you never know.

Hey JoJo.the whole week b4 I came over to the get together I was watching PC change day to day by many feet each way.it will get more accurate the closer you get.

I'm watching the forecast for next week as well.  Probably do Friday somewhere in the salt.

Cosmo is looking to hit the salt as well about that 10 day calls for rain , but the weather man is the only guy that can be wrong 50% of the time a not loose his job

Small swell, long duration = Good.
Big swell, short duration = Bad.

Light rain = Good
Wind = Bad.

That part I have been reading up on

The forecast I looked at call for around 2.5-3.5 every 8 seconds  with wind around 5 mph in the am ....
But that's Wednesday

I'm keeping an eye on wed-sat as possibles for PC, the swells are under 3 and over 7 sec apart.  we will see

I was figuring on that and I'll be damned if the cowboy ain't always right, guess that comes from getting up before the crack of dawn and working till after dark?

I'm looking at Thursday, MSW and a couple other sources indicate it may be doable, projected wind is out of the south but light till afternoon.  Weds the wind is out of the north but the swell is larger with a shorter period.
