Yes, I finally crossed over to the Hobie side, and I'm quite delighted.  Thanks to Jammer, Rawkfish and ndogg for the positive influence.

Tanner at Next Adventure was a big help.  I knew I had the right guy when I saw the ORC shirt.

The plastic must pay its penance before it bathes in blood.

Yes, hopefully I'll have some fish soon to help me break it in.  Just installed the sailing rudder and turbo fins, and I have a few questions.  Does anyone keep the foot straps on?  I'm inclined to just remove them.  And, I'm thinking of putting my ff battery in the middle hatch just towards the bow so I can still use the gear box.  Any reason not to do that?  This is a revo 13.

I don't use the foot straps. I find them to be a nuisance. Just one more thing for hooks to grab.

Congrats and nice add-ons too!
I'm not a fan of the foot straps. Taking them off allows you to more easily get into position, change position & use different muscle groups (heel vs toe etc). Also fewer things to tangle upon.
Battery placement isn't that important. Mine is currently in a dry bag that I clip to the interior sail mast; however I've also thought about relocating it all the way back to the rear hatch, just to have it out of the way.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

Ditch the pedal foot straps......I made some "heel straps"  out of 1" wide, NRS  tie down strapping. This mod works so much better and you can be barefoot or wearing "fat" water shoes......makes no difference to the heel straps.

Love it...on top of a FIT.   Get that yellow thing bloody.  Enjoy.
I thought to ditch the foot straps, but decided to keep them.  Heel Straps are a much better idea!
The best would be some bicycle clip pedals and clips on the bottom of my kayak shoes!
