I'll admit to stealing this question from l-fish forum. But thought it might be fun to see what goals we have for ourselves as kayak fishers.
For my own goals-and these are subject to change or be added to.....

 Get out more
  Catch more fish
Catch a halibut at Neah Bay
Get my wife on the water more
Get my grandkids out in kayaks fishing
Fish the ocean off Long Beach and Ocean Shores
Help out a few more folks that are new to kayak fishing
Place in the top 10 at ORC
Finally get to Sunset Bay for that tournament
Make a positive impact on more peoples life. Whether through kayak fishing , chainsaw carving, or any other way.

What are your dreams for 2015 ?

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Fill my salmon tag.  I could have maybe done it this year, but I went to Mexico and had a blast instead.  Although, I think 25 fish would be a lot of Salmon to eat.

Junk Jigs "BEST USE OF ACTUAL JUNK" category - "That tape should have been a prized possession and not junk. That will be a collectors item in 30 years!” & “There sure is a lot of junk in there.”

To fish more than 4 days out of the year.
To take the 2 older kids fishing more than once.
Beyond that, it's gravy.

-Target and catch 3 new species of fish (Ling & other rockfish in coastal waters)
-Have a couple fun camping/fishing trips with my wife and 2 daughters
-Catch a pelagic from a yak on my big island vacation (so basicaly the goal is to be very very lucky... can that be a goal?)
-Get out to a few events and make 5 new fishing friends!

Ditto. Add some halibut and steelhead to top it off.

Halibut. Struck out on four trips last year (Freshwater Bay + Mutiny Bay). It's my white whale. Looking like Neah Bay's on the agenda for next year.

That, sir, is an admirable goal. And forget the bigger net from santa. With a beast that big just use your halibut harpoon.  ;)

1. Supply the Salmon & Ling Cod for my wedding
2. Teach myself, a family member & a friend to kayak fish.
3. Pull in a nice size Healthy-Butt & his sweet cheeks
