I plan on being there as well provided something rather catastrophic is not happening.  As a Big Tuna owner, I can't wait to see a proper handling of one by Mojo.
I don't know if I qualify as proper on anything let alone handling my yak

Ok so getting close to making it an official announcement working out some details. Tillamook Bay May Day , mark your calendars get the RV out or dust off the tent.... Also any that would like can hit the clam beds on the way out...6:02am sunrise and low tide 6:56 am high tide 1:10 pm so I'm thinking preregistered guys with the proper lighting can launch 5:15 ish am majority if ready can drop in at 6am fish "judging" (measure or weights) no later then 3:30 (for the diehard salmonoid macadamia's out there)...going to ground pound for prizes hard , but a bad day fishing is better then .... You  know  the rest...let's have some fun and raise some money for a great group of people...
If anyone wants to try tackling a fish fry coordination let me know already had a couple people interested in helping out just need a coordinator and if not still a potluck so plan on eating....
Weather permitted I think everyone that can will most likely hit Pacific City Sunday...... On a GREAT note I had someone from farther out of state, state he might make it but I will let him chime in if he wants.
Will keep updating.............. Specially the prize list as it grows.

I had a great time last year and I will make the tourney again this May. I love Tillamook Bay.
Thanks to whoever donated the custom fish bonkers last year. It has lulled many a rockfish to sleep and I love it.
I was out there last Monday and Tuesday, 2/23-24, and the fishing was pretty good and the crabbing is picking up after a crappy winter (don't tell anybody). I got 11 on Monday and 6 more on a short outing Tuesday. They were all nice and full.
Anyone targeting rockfish inside the bay should take note that this is shallow water and the fish are smaller on average and you don't need heavy jigs. I almost always use 1/4oz.
I'm really excited. Thanks for putting this event on Shannon.

 Hey minnowmagnet,

Glad to hear that your bonker has been doing some bonkin'. Not sure if I'll be bringing any down this year or not.  I have been doing a lot of chainsaw carving lately so maybe I can throw in a "special" prize this time.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

It's official got the HOW paperwork in order and going to start pounding the pavement for prizes for the tournament as well as the raffle. Anyone that would like to make a prize donation for the raffle or tournament please send me a PM. If anyone wants to try and tackle a fish fry for this year let me know, I will try to secure a building here at the Old Mill Rv park incase it rains but no promises. Anyone interested in camping can call the park at 503-322-0322 just let them know your here for the tournament. Still not sure if we're going single biggest in each category or total length or weight or aoty style I would like to here what some of you guys are thinking. I will be up dating regularly with prices as they are donated. All proceeds after dinner expenses will be donated to HOW's Portland chapter. Look forward to seeing everyone that can make it and help out a great bunch of guys.

If the limit is 3, then total weight would be fun.  Single heaviest is tried and true. AOTY style doesn't seem like the best way to do a salmon tournament though.

2 fish total weight would be cool.  No other tournament has a total weight format.
