  Damn Shannon
 That's an impressive list
We all appreciate the work you are putting into this event.
Starting to get pumped......let's do this  ;D
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Minnowmagnet is going to have a LOOOONG  line of kayaks off the stern of his new hobie "nice boat by the way" trying to out fish his flank.
I have a few shops that are telling me there going to throw down a little something for the event but I'm not posting them till there committed, I hope to double the sponsors list by the end of April.

If you haven't already get your shirt orders in and if possible pre-register, but we will register you the morning of the tournament if needed.

The Lighthouse Pub-n-Grub is going to throw down a gift certificate or two and I'm trying to wrangle a big pot of there yakisobi for the feast. (That stuffs the bomb). The owner is a former Navy Seal has his own dry suit ,fishing poles and would like to fish the tournament  with us if anyone has a boat he can use, mine is available to him , but if someone has a hobie I think we can hook him and real him in with ease.

Here's an aerial photo of Tillamook Bay which I obtained from Google Earth.  The date of the photo is 7/30/2014.  Some of the channels in the aerial photo look quite a bit different from the map which Mojo Jojo posted.  I have laminated them and will bring them both with me when fishing.

I want to keep it simply so standard NWKA rules ,here is the rules for the guys that don't know....no power boats or assistance from one.. Tandems are ok as long as both occupants are registered to compete .. Only legal to retain fish will be weighed.... ALL ODFW  rules apply... Competitors are responsible for an Oregon fishing license as well as a invasive species permit.... You may only win ONE of the three classes for fish (let me know if that's not clear enough)... Launch and landing at Old Mill Rv Park... Pre registered guys can launch at 5:30 am IF YOU HAVE LIGHTS ...6:00 am launch.... 3:30 weigh in as long as your off the water by 3:30 we will weigh you in....
Flags NOT required but recommended (per the coast guard)...stay inside the bay , if you cross the bar your disqualified....if I missed something please let me know or ask away as I don't want to make it complicated ,just fun and beneficial for HOW.
Combined heaviest harvest per 3 categories :1 salmon.....2 all other fish....3 Dungeness crabs....

To clarify the placing and scoring... All of your fish will be weighed in three different categories... Salmon, all other fish,Dungeness crab.
The guy with the most weight in that single category wins first place for that category. We will have 3 first place ,second place ,and third place winners. You can only place in one category.

Required gear as followed: 1.proper immersion wear for Oregon waters in May.
2. PFD all competitors must wear a CG approved PFD while on the water
3. Have a vhf or fish with someone that does

All competitors must check in with me in the morning before hitting the water as well as check back in when you are off the water even if your not weighing in. All competitors will get a number based on what order your registration was relieved (#1 is already in)
I think this covers it?
$25 entry fee

Also the event made the local sports section in the headlight herald last wednesday. I will post va pic of it once I get my hands on a hard copy.

He got the important stuff right anyways but didn't go into depth on HOW. They want a complete competitors list with catch weights and I will see if they can run a piece on Heroes on the Water with the results.
