OK.  Why didn't someone mention Sunday is Mother's day?!?!?!?!  I guess my mother lives in Kenai....

So, hell or high water it looks Saturday is the open day.  Forecast not as good but looks do-able.  Looks wet.  Fish are wet...so who cares.

I forgot about Mother's Day. Mine lives with us, fishing out this weekend. I think I'll remind her about a proxy when I give her the card , flowers and chocolates. Dinner to Follow. I owe that woman big time for what I put her through, I have been trying to make it up for 50+ years.

Hmmmm....dunno yet. Low tide is roughly noon so fishing from 9am to 2pmish. Big low tide! High tide is at 6 pm so if I'm lazy I'll target 4pm to 8pm ish.

Personally I like the big tide exchanges though it means fewer hours of fishing if you want to stay by the launch. I'll decide after the 4pm update on Friday.

This is why I make such a terrible fishing partner...

OK, sometimes in life ya gotta make some really hard decisions about what really are the priorities in life...right? But nobody cares about that, so in short...

I think I am going Sunday.  Weather update got bad all of the sudden.  It might still be ugly given on Saturday they are calling for 5 footers. It does say it will subside to 2 ft.  Can't recall seeing a forecast like that.

So Sunday it is.  Uhhh....well maybe late Saturday night and/or super early Sunday morning.  Dear lord...I'm changing my mind as I am typing! ARGH!  Optimal would be to fish the late High tide Saturday, get some sleep, fish early high tide (7:42am) and get back to Anchorage with four butts before I become permanently single.  More likely outcome...Sunday Morning.

Let's see how long before I change my mind....

I'd say just don't look at the weather until Friday night and go from there, like I said I will be there all Saturday and most of Sunday so you just text or call when you finally make up your mind  :banjo:

I will be there on Sunday.  As long as the weather report holds, plan to leave early to be there at the crack of dawn.  (We are celebrating Mother's Day on Saturday...so no need to judge me.)

Haha no judgement here....I may possibly stay at the deep creek campground if its too windy but either way I'll have cell service so hit me up.

Go get'em.  Homer is always good.  I need to learn to catch Butts there. No reason why you can't catch them there.  I have seen it done off powerboats by the buoy.  I know people who troll butts up on that ledge as well.

Yup Tomorrow early might be a window at WG.  But given the forecast I am not prone to getting too far away from the launch,  Probably means I will fish from 5am-6am to about 9am 10am.  If its bad, I'll jam down to Homer for a few hours.  So that's the plan....

Buoy looks ok too,  Swells right now coming from NNW.  Nt sure if this graph will update.
