Be warned that Saturday is getting a little funky. The wind is kicking up and you have swells coming in multiple direction. Combine those factors together and you may see some conditions that are washing machine like. Make sure you take those seasickness meds!

I will definitely be brining the Dramamine and ginger chews as well as ginger soda lol.  I hope to have fun and if I catch a fish it will be a bonus.  this is my first trip to depoe bay and I am excited to learn the area for the ORC.

Zach
Cool. I hope it continues to improve for you. Some advice I got my first trip there (thanks Spot) was to take one Dramamine an hour before launch and then 1-2 when you hit the water. Lets it get going in your system.

Keep in mind I have been known to walk away if it don't look good from the shore and go to plan B and plan A can change the day before. Either way we're fishing both days even if it's for trout at lost lake

Spot has a lot of wisdom haha. I went to his springer clinic and learned a lot.

If the weather is bad I will walk away as wel. I will bring trout lures as a back up plan.

Those who fish with me know I bring everything and my tackle and trout rods reside in the car

Thanks for the heads up!  I fully expect the boat launch to be packed but I don't think we will be fishing the same areas so I think the time out on the water should be nice.

Should we re-consider pacific city?

Gotta love the Oregon coast, pack everything and you still get to fish somewhere.

I will be at Depoe Bay on Saturday.  What time is everyone wanting to meet up on Saturday.  I am hoping for an early launch but want to launch with the group.

am outta here!!! should be ready to launch 7---30ish?? up to my fishn bud was just me would be earlier....5---30ish. hope the ramp area is not a zoo like once before. one guy didnt like it when i bypassed the ramp line to park like i do and then setup, cart my yak down to ramp, and then launch. he figured the line was for a parking spot at ramp area too.

I am going to try and arrive at 630 or so and hope to be ready to launch near 7-730.  I would launch earlier if others are wanting to.

Tomorrow is an all depth halibut day, so the ramp may be very busy at Depoe bay! Not many places to park, and lots of boats launching early on a nice ocean day.  Good luck, and hope someone finds a halibut before you hook into all those rockfish!
