Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

I'm at 75% on going.  Will be watching the forecast closely.

I'm at 50%.  I have to pick up the equipment for HOW on Wednesday and talk to a guy about a new kayak also.  If I get my running done and have time to get everything gathered up and ready to go, I'll be there.

My first surf launch.  Make sure your cameras are charged up... 😉

Launch time?

Usually folks just start meeting up on the sand just as the sun comes up.
Then we just launch in groups of 2, 3, 4+ at time as folks get their gear ready launch.

Emgee and I will most likely be there.  That 3am wakeup call doesn't sound so awesome, though. :)

Is that legal? A few years back it was not allowed to have rockfish and halibut on your boat at the same time here in Oregon.

Mojo, I'm not entirely sure we are allowed to fish for or possess any bottomfish/lings if you have retained a halibut during All Depth Days.
Same goes for halibut if you have bottomfish/lings on board already.

My tablet is old and slow, so I can't seem to find the verbage I thought I read at one time. You may want to research this a bit.

Hopefully I am wrong.

As I read it you can do both, but if you manage to catch a halibut then you can't fish for rockfish after that.

Until a halibut is on board the vessel you can retain rockfish.

Matt, I don't think it reads quite like that.

See the regs under Lings and bottom fish.
