I think it might be about how fast Nanook and Zee can paddle when they're drunk on cheap beer.

Oh, I'm pretty sure Nanook has some sort of camelbak that will hold a six pack.

Is it legal in OR to drink and paddle? Thought you could get a BUI for that. What I heard is you can drink on a floating object as long as you have no control of it, like floating down the river on an innertube.

I've never checked the exact regs, but I've watched rangers pulling rafters over on the Deschutes and issuing citations. Kinda scary seeing a breathalyzer in a Pelican box. just did a search, it appears drinking itself is legal, but being under the influence is illegal. here's what the Oregon State Marine board has to say:

In Oregon, a boat operator with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more is considered to be under the influence.

A drug or alcohol impaired boat operator who is arrested for Boating Under the Influence of Intoxicants faces the following:

    * could face fines of up to $6,250 and up to a year in jail
    * must complete a boating safety class
    * lose his or her boat operation privileges for a period of time
    * have boat registrations suspended for up to three years

Oregon's BUII laws apply to motorized and non-motorized watercraft alike. Remember, in a raft, everyone with a paddle is an operator.

Some details on the Torque..
Motor is designed for saltwater, weighs 20 lbs but floats.
The rod pod is actually a battery pod (big marine battery).
