My usual routine:

click bookmark to NWKA forums
click on show unread posts since last visit
read on...

For the last week now that hasn't worked... Instead, when I hit "show unread posts" I'm logged out.  When i log back in and hit "show unread posts" again, it comes up empty, saying there are none to be read.

I've cleared cache and cookies, and it hasn't made a difference.  I've not figured out exactly how long I need to stay off the forums before it happens again, but usually if I come back later in the day it will work OK.  It definitely doesn't work if I'm not on the forums overnight...

Yeah, it looks like I'm seeing the same thing.

I just changed the cookie settings on the server side to see if this clears it up.  This will sort of log everyone out by default as the cookies changed.  Let me know if you're still seeing this issue.

I am unable to log in using my Mac. Whenever I do, as the page is loading, the Mac suffers a Kernel Panic(crash). When I restart, my additional drives aren't recognized until I play around with the startup disk. This only happens when I try to log in to the NWKA. Other sites are fine. Right now I am using my antique PC, which isn't very user friendly. Are any Mac users having the same problem? I am using Safair 4.1.2 on OS 10.4.11

no problems on my iMac27, OS 10.6.6, but earlier in the week whenever I opened the link to NWKA, had to log in.  Now it just opens with my info there.

OS 10.6.5 and Safari 5.0.3.  No problems.

But I've switched over to using Google Chrome for the most part.  It's screaming fast compared to the others, especially for NWKA and NCKA.

I've got a Compaq pc and NWKA is in my favorites. Half the time when I try to
bring up the site, my computer freezes up and I have to shut off the power and boot up again. This is the only site that does this. Any suggestions? By the way. It never does this at work(I really never browse at work). ;D

Guys,

Thanks for the info on the freezing/locking up.  Let me look into some things.  Can you tell me what "landing page" you use to enter the site?  Is it the Front Page, or the Board Index, or ???

Allen,

I tried downloading Firefox 3.6 and using that to access the NWKA website. After typing in www.northwestkayakanglers.com in the address bar, and hitting enter, I got another Kernal Panic. I wasn't even able to view the home page! At least using Safari I can view the website, just can't log in. I hope this info helps you narrow down the problem.

Thanks for helping!
