Any of you noobs interested in a Multnomah Channel springer trolling clinic?

Spend 10 or 20 minutes talking rigging and approach and the rest of the day on the water?

Steelheadr you've already put spring chrome in your yak.  If you show, you'll be on the sharing end.  ;D

TXP has gotten the treatment once before but we didn't get him into a fish....  Let's give it another try.

ndogg, I don't fish with Hobie riders....     Just kidding.  Though I will be jealous watching you text, make sandwiches and tie up leaders while you're trolling.

Anybody else is welcome too.  Maybe this Sunday if the weather and water clarity are decent?

Right on, this is turning into a full on party!  ;D

As there's a bit of PB traffic on the MC, I'd like to add a stipulation that anyone who joins flies a safety flag.

I'll post details as the weather forecasts dictate.

I've been thinking about picking one up. How high do you usually fly them? 4-5 feet?

I will be watching this post for details and will try to make it if schedule/family commitments allow it.

Best advice I can offer is get an ATV whip flag pole.  You may have to get creative on rigging it up on your yak, but they are cheap and plenty long enough for you to feel comfortable.  Here are some examples of whip flag poles:

I can't do Sunday, but oh well, I am sure the knowledge will trickle down.   Also, the deli counter is not installed on my new boat yet, so no sandwiched anytime soon.

I may be able to pull off a weekday or two in the next couple of weeks also.  I'll up date as I know better.

ANY OTHER TRUE NOOBS OUT THERE WANNA LEARN THIS FISHERY?  So far the list of interested people includes some pretty darn good fishermen.   If you're new to kayak fishing but have a safety flag and enough skill and gear to survive a dunking in the Channel (we're not talking ocean or mainstem Columbia conditions here), you're welcome to join.

If the conditions are reasonable, I can make this Sunday, but not too early. I need to drop the wife off at the train station first...   :banjo:
