Welcome hazmhoser.  You picked a good event to get "indoctrinated" into NCKA.

-Allen

What?!?!   What?!?!?    :spittake:

This is not NCKA.....  hazmhoser, welcome to NWKA

As in years past, everyone participating in the this year's Oregon Rockfish Classic is required to fill out and sign a waiver before hitting the water.

If you do not fill out a waiver, you are not in the contest.

Waivers will be availiable at the Chinook Bend Campground the evening before the event.  If we can find someone to man the launch, they will also be available at the launch/weigh in site the morning of the event.  Any volunteers?

This is a super important job, and it would be great if someone who is not fishing could step up and do it. Nobody that pays the entry fee and gets up early wants to sit on the ramp and watch everybody else go out and fish. I would volunteer my SLF but I'm not sure she'll be in town that weekend.

I will handle the waivers.  Find me Friday night or let me know you want to meet me at the ramp on Saturday morning.  If you don't let me know you want to meet Saturday morning, I may just go fishing without you.  If you don't see me to sign the waivers, you don't get a captains bag.

Oh .. Big Hammer is AWESOME!  I got the bunch, and I mean A BUNCH of swimbaits in today.   So you'll have a few of these in the bags.

Left column is 5.5" versions in Glowbug, Sardine, Atomic Punk, Strawberry
Right column is 6.4" versions Larry's Heron, Olive Herring, Strawberry, Lemon Lime

I suggest you bring some of your favorite swimbait jig heads to match up with these puppies.  Big Hammers were all the rage at the recent NCKA Gimme Shelter tourney.  They caught a bunch of fish that placed, including a couple of bonus pacific butts.  2-4 ounce triangle heads work well!!!

Hey Ron, got a few bullet head jigs to go with these goodies that will also be in the bag?  Kalin 6" Mogambos in red with silver flake.  This is what a bag o' 100 looks like!!!

When's the latest I can send in my payment for the tourny? I just have to clear one more thing off my schedule for that weekend.

I would prefer that people sign up as soon as they can, but I'll take payments up until the last moment.

Currently there are 23 people paid, and the running list on the first post in this thread has 33-35.  Please pay up as soon as you can guys.  Appreciate it.

Might be good to highlight who is paid and who hasn't, as well as how many are in each contender's party.
Lets get the headcount dialed in for food quantities.

As for those that haven't paid up yet, if we knew who hasn't paid up - we could "rib" them daily until they do.   ;D

Nice!! Cali style! Soooo stoked for the Big Hammers.  I wish we had those or MC's up here.  I can't believe how tough it is to find good quality swimbaits with good colors up here.

Yup.  Big Hammer is popular in SoCal and have a bit of a following in NorCal.  I think you guys will be impressed with how they fish the Oregon waters.

What swimbait brands are popular up there?
