Just a heads up on some road work that might have an impact on our getting to the launch early Sat. morning. I was planning on leaving about 5:30am. Might have to leave a little earlier!

DEPOE BAY-A paving project on U.S. 101 between Depoe Bay (milepost 127) and Spencer Creek (milepost 134) will begin on June 15 weather permitting.  There will be no paving between milepost 131 and 132.

The Oregon Department of Transportation paving contractor expects to finish the project by June 28.  All work will be done at night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.  One lane of traffic will remain open with traffic controlled by flaggers.

Construction zone signage will be posted to remind motorists of the night time paving and there will be temporary striping to aid motorists.   Expect minor delays.

Not sure, brother. If so, in an unofficial fashion. Gotta hit the studio and make sweet music for the uninterested around that time.

Anybody who's planning on shooting pics on the water with a non-standard SD card please try to remember a data cable or card reader.  We'd like to D/L everyone's pics for a slideshow during the potluck.

Thanks!

I'll be running a rare format on 4.25 floppy disks, its ok, they hold 256kb!        >:D        j/k

The compact Nikon has an 8 GB SD card mainly, but the older canon(backup 6mp) is a big compact flash, iirc thats what they were called. I'm bringing cables and an adapter+ some blank CDs.............not 50 though. Might bring my 3 or so yr old laptop too.

If anyone wants a copy of all the pictures, bring memory sticks or external hard drives/backup drives.  I'll gladly throw pictures onto them from my laptop.  Burning CDs can be done, but that usually takes a bit longer.

I hope you have a ton of room on your drive!   ;D  I can see you running out really quick with all the people we'll have this year.

Don't forget your invasive species permit!

Oregon requires all people paddling kayaks over 10' to carry a valid invasive species permit.
They can be purchased anywhere you can get a fishing license.

Is there some place easy in Depoe to get licenses? Or should we pick them up prior to getting down there?
