DTS and myself plan to give Depoe a try on Friday.
Looks like the forcast is shaping up to be doable.

I need me some fresh fish!

Craig, and Goldendog mentioned joining us.
You guys still game?

Anyone else have the day off and would like to join us, come on down.

Launch around 8am, channel 69, yada yada.  ;)

It looks like this might be the last window for awhile. I'm game, and will try to get an early launch. Probably get there about 7:30, so an 8:00 launch is good for me! See you Friday!

As of now, I plan to be there.  I am looking forward to it.  I have a license, radio, horn, pfd (and other misc. safety items I always keep in the yak), safety flag, rods, fish finder, lip gripper, camera, measuring device, fillet knife, and soft plastics/jigs.   I need to get a game clip and hope to find one at a local dive shop tomorrow.

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Craig

Oops! I forgot, I do have a helmet, gaff, fish bonker, and pliers.  I do need new sunscreen.

Thanks for the reminders.

Ndogg, I will let you know if I find one.  I was thinking 18 inch like Hook One sells. I would order from them, but it obviously won't get here in time.  If they are $16 bucks or under, I may buy two.  That way, when I forget to tie the first one to the yak and it gets towed to the bottom, I will have a back-up.  One is none, two is one!

I keep a cooler in the vehicle most of the time.  You never know when you may run across a good price on beer, or make an unscheduled trip to Costco.  But you reminded me to make more ice.  Thanks.

In fact I stumbled across, and am enjoying, a delicious Bridgeport Cafe Negro coffee infused porter right now.

A VHF radio is a must when exiting or entering the harbor. It's good to know the traffic situation, and to keep in touch with everyone.

what is your tackle situation?  have you checked the tides? you are looking at about a 8 ft exchange which could mean a pretty good rip. on sunday 4 oz. was about the minimum. off goverment point it was 6 oz. i would hate to see you go to all the work and not be totally prepared.

envasive species permit?             still havent got mine

Oops, I just realized you are going to Depoe Bay instead of PC.  Never mind on the helmet, I never use mine when fishing Depoe Bay.

I've got everything from 1/2oz, to 6oz in my arsenal.  Ready to donate each one to the bottom.  :-\

I made a little folding pouch out of food saver bag that attaches to the inside of my PFD pocket for my Invasive Species Permit.  THis way I'll never be a kayak without it.
