Pisco Sicko ... nice try.  I must commend you on the inflatible kayak pics on the ice, but I don't think we can allow these as AOTY entries.  I'm sure you understand.  You'll upgrade on those fish anyways ...

Yes, I expect to upgrade without any troubles. ;)

But dude!  :evil5:

Quote
2009 Angler of the Year Rules

1. All fish entered must be caught from a kayak, without the aid of a powerboat and using methods deemed legal by the state in which they are caught.

Kayak, check! No powerboat was involved! My methods were legal!

So, when I go icefishing this weekend, do I have to sit in my inflatable, so that the fish count? >:D

As long as you row out to them.   :P

Umm, do you think I have some big advantage because of the higher coefficient of friction involved with the hard water? And if I use my legs to get the yak over the water, is that much different from a Hobie user pedaling out?

On it, sidesaddle. Heck of a lot warmer than sitting on the ice. ;)

Didn't think of handing Janni the camera, but just for you, I will, next time. :-*

As far as Pisco's frozen fish, kudos to doing the best you could do considering your circumstances!

Given the fact that so few of us are on the board, well, it's all about taking the time and making the effort, whatever the catch may be!

I want to see a little more positive contribution, or are you all happy with the current statistics!

Thanks for making the effort Pisco!

Dave

I'm pretty happy so far.  If you guys jump out to too big of a lead this early, you'll discourage those that are in hibernation for the winter.  Things will get hopping around here as Spring approaches.

I love the Smak...Y'all may be getting the big fish #'s now, but by the time the Cutthroat arrive, I will be healed and happy to sit in the lower river and land 1/2 pounders all day. ;D

See the AOTY main page for a list of sponsors.  For sure we have an Ocean Kayak.  Kokatat has something special for us.  Hobie polarized sunglasses.  Scotty has a is supplying a big grab bag of various goodies, they are always good to us.  Lami is good for another rod.  NRS is sporting for the kids division.  And Northwest Sportsman is kicking down some subs.  It's mid year now and with AOTY on a roll, I was planning on trolling for a few more prizes.

Thanks Allen, I am sure  that whatever the winnings may be, the effort will have been worth it! Half the fun is getting there.

Actually, all the fun is getting there!

Hey how about less sitting and predicting and more participating! :)
