Here are a few of mine to get this going.  I've got a little bit of video to put up when it's done.  I'll leave details of the outcome to the Official Results.

What an awesome weekend!!
Pelagicpaddler and I made it to the launch shortly after 5am.  Pelagic sounded the horn as we approached the hole and with that, the ORC was ON!!
We slipped out through the hole with The Nothing and EOBasser to a beautifully calm ocean that turned sloppy fairly quick.  On my way out I stopped at a couple of points between the hole and the red buoy that had given me fish in previous trips, but no love.  I was poking around somewhere south of the red buoy around 6am and hooked into something that easily felt over ten pounds.  It played around with me for about 20 seconds and threw the hook.    :angry4:

I worked the spot I lost that fish for another half-hour or so then got anxious and headed out and south.  I hunted around with Ling Banger nearby.   The next three hours were pretty boring.  I found a few small underlings, a 5-ish pound cabby that went back and this weird lookin sculipin and beautiful irish lord.

By now the rain was pretty constant and so was the wind.  I started heading back north and met back up with Pelagic who had come out from the bay.   We found a nice reef and the bite was on.  I picked up a nice greenling for AOTY and he picked up a nice ling.

I picked up my personal best cabby.  26" and weighed in at 11lbs. 3 oz.

The rain and wind made things really sloppy.

But we had a great time!

A short while later, Pelagic looked like he had snagged a rock.  "Are you getting head shakes on that?", I asked.
"Yup!", He replied.  I snapped a couple pics and pulled out the playsport.

Video will be up a little later - it was a nice fish, that's for sure.

It was amazing to hang out with everyone again and meet some new people.
I had a blast!!  A big THANK YOU to everyone who made this happen!

Lets see some more!

I was trying to resize a bunch of shots down to around 1200x1800  to post em easier. Anyone know how to do a bunch of pictures at once, or do I have to do all those shots 1 by 1?   :o

I didn't get a chance to take many pictures (couldn't see out of my glasses most of the day) Saturday, but I'll post a few from Friday's pre-fish once I find my camera.

If you use a windows operating system and have Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Picture Manager will allow you to do a batch resize.  As a short cut, it should be in the "Open with..." menu if you right click on a picture.

640x480 is a good size as it fits well in the post.

Decided to power through to Spidey's     house so we're still on the way home.  It was great to see you all!

I dont have Office, unfortunately. What I do have is something called Corel paintshop photo pro. I'm too used to the outdated film scene i guess. Anyhow,I tried the batch process earlier and cant seem to get it to batch process AND resize. I'll keep prodding it.

I only managed two pictures.  It was rough out there and I don't have a float on my camera, and I also didn't want to incur the wrath of the chum gods!

Is was great meeting everyone at this event, but I must say Bsteves passionate description of his competitive freestyle canoeing routine was the highlight for me.

The first night was beautiful as we checked in and got some swag from Allen

We had a good camp fire going

and some of us did a lot of this

Then, the competition started.  I headed out with ndogg (nate),

Jammer (michael), and Lee (Lee-in blue dry suit still at launch)

I was quickly blown away from them once I started jigging.  But I did get one hell of a paddling workout. As for fish, I caught a lot of under-lings and a lot of 12"-16" black rock fish. The prize fish for me was a nice 15.75" male greenling for some AOTY points.  I think its funny that its my smallest AOTY fish, yet it blows the others away in points.

I did take a quick shot of the final placings on the big white board.

Even though the weather wasn't so great, I had a great time.  I can't wait to do it again and thanks for everyone that put this together and made it possible.  Also, my compliments to the chefs.  The buffet was awesome.

I managed to resize some shots, I'm slow since I cant figure out how to do a mass resizing. Also 10 shots seems to be the max allowed , so I'll do a couple posts. You'll also notice I need to figure out how to add a description to each shot.....aaaarggh

Terry,Insayn's neighbor did a good job in the Dory, neither of us wanted to get too close, so I had to zoom in closer. From what I see the best way to get a kayak shot is from a kayak where you can get closer. Next year perhaps,I'll hav a waterproof camera, but i also plan to compete  :)  I think our best option is most people having a camera and snapping a few shot of each other. Think I'll bring 4 pallets to put my tent on also. >:D
