I'm having a hard time committing to a LONG DRIVE for one day of fishing.  If I make the trip, would anybody be interested in fishing either Friday or Sunday as well?

Unfortunately I  can only fish Saturday.
To reduce the possibility of trash falling in the river anyone who wants a hot drink should bring their own mug.

Sorry J, I don't think I can either.  My wife has plans for Sunday, and I have to work Friday.

Hey Jammer,

Are you still having the mini tourney? If you are I just want to say that I am in. One more question, who is going to be holding all the winnings for me while I am fishing :)

I'm going to have to leave early but you can give my winnings to DC to hold.   Thanks.

Wow...hot chocolate...gourmet burgers...and now I get to hold cash...this is all too much.  Please someone tell me if I start acting like Alec Baldwin out there on Saturday...now back to my foot bath.

Spot, I think that the neck gasket on your dry suit is a little tight. We were talking about my winnings :)

One serious question I do have is whether the fish have to be in the slot or if an oversized can win. I would guess since it is closed for retention that an over sized would be OK but it is Jammer's call.

I don't see any reason for a slot limit.  As you said, it's closed anyway.

I plan on saddling up a monster oversize in OC and letting it tow me down to GR.
Who's up for giving me a ride back to my car around 10:00AM?

Oh yes! Oversized sturgeon WILL BE counted. I would recommend that everyone have a soft tape measure, very similar to what you would find near a sewing machine. They work great plus they're usually waterproof. When you hook into a fish that needs to be measured, please have the measurement witnessed by myself(Jammer), Nate(ndogg) or Ron(pelagic Paddler) or anyone nearest you. If you own a VHF radio, please bring to the tourney and use channel 69 if you need assistance. I will be pedaling around and checking on everyone as well as get measurements as much as possible. When you arrive at GR park and get launched, please let me know ASAP if you will be participating and pay your $10. I will hold the cash and will log everyone's fish from daybreak until 12noon at which point the tourney will end. All fish that will be submitted need to be measured and logged before 12noon as that is the official deadline. Remember, the easiest way to subdue your sturgeon is to roll it over on its back right below the water line and call for measurement help.
This is going to be fun guys!

You are in luck Spot. The oversized I hook will be big enough to tow you, me and your oversized back up to OC from GR. I was planning on hooking up around 11 but I will schedule the bite earlier to help you out. I am just that nice of a guy :)
