Great topic.  In 2013, I want to:

  • Rig/personalize my new kayak.  In particular I want to make sure the fishfinder works more better than my last one did.
  • Find more time now that I've survived the newborn phase of my son's existence and generally know a bit more what I'm doing.  I want to be able to get out on the water once a month.
  • Catch a lingcod and/or cabezon.
  • Catch a salmon.  I don't care what the species is or if I have to release it as long as it's keeper sized. I just want one in my net with good photographic evidence of the catch.
  • Get back to my PSA meetings and generally more involved with the group.  Other seminars are nice, too, but not at the expense of time on the water.
  • Generally get more confident in what I'm doing.

My goal is more time on the water.  2012 has been a really slow year for my kayak fishing.  More time on the water will be very welcome.

Fish more, work less...;)

*** Close on the new house (it's a short sale so God knows when that'll be). It happens to be on a little fly fishing stream up the road.

*** Teach my kiddos how to cast the fly rods that Santa brought them.

*** Catch more Crane bows.

*** Marry my best friend on Maui (March).

*** Take a week or two and spend more time on the salt.

*** Chase an elk or two with bow in hand and my little fella scampering along behind me.

Did I already say Fish More?

Fish the Atlantic, RI,Ct,Ma, Me, NC, and Ga, and finally Fla. Want to catch stripers, blues, snook and TArpon, before heading home to try BTB for Cobia and Kings. Most will happen in Jun and Jul so I'll be missing ORC which was certainly a high spot of 2012. Art

Hell, come up to Foggy Bay and I'll get show you a honey hole or two. :D

Fungunnin if I piss you off then apologize can i come too? :D
I joke, I joke.. But it is cool that for the most part people on this site keep things civil. It's awesome having a place to be able to relate to people who have the same passion for fishing and kayaks.

There are still a few spots available ... but you have a lot of work ahead of you if you are going to eclipse Jammer for 2012.

Yaktrap good goal and if it's a freshwater fish I agree!!! I want to catch a massive rainbow or brown trout and release it unharmed.

.... Saltwater I want to catch 3 different species of salmon and a 30" ling

No he's not. What he gets is the satisfaction of knowing he did it, by himself on his terms. For some, thats all that matters.
