Catch the biggest one yet, let it go unharmed, and tell no one.

Whoa whoa whoa... Now you're just being unreasonable. ;)

No he's not. What he gets is the satisfaction of knowing he did it, by himself on his terms. For some, thats all that matters.

Nobody seems to understand my sense of humor (or lack thereof). Could any of us really let our biggest fish go without at least a photo as proof? I seriously doubt that I could.

My last fish of 2012 from yesterday (it was C&R).  I've got work everyday thru New Years Day, so no more fishing in 2012 for me.  Have a good holiday everyone, and stay safe.

..... um I'm going out on a limb here but I think the winky smiley face indicates that he is just giving him a hard time.

I landed a nice Chinook last spring that was a C&R.  No photo, just a nice story.

I do it all the time if there's any chance that dawdling will hurt the fish.
Christmas Eve I landed one of my most memorable native steelhead.  Huge, purple chrome, thick as a chinook but dead tired at the end of the fight.  Camera was in my chest pocket.

Fishing isn't about proving something to everyone else. I think sometimes we loose sight of that.

I plan on fishing/hunting more with friends and family, enjoying my time on the water and meeting new people!

As for the pictures...

That's why I take IHOP. He remembers to take the darn things. (Thanks Bud)

I always get caught up in the moment and forget to bring out the camera. When the bite is on I am compelled to get my line back in the water. Therefore, no pictures only memories.

Get my ass off the couch, and my kayak off the wall, and find the time to fish more!
If it wasn't for flashbacks, I'd have no memories at all.

Well as the wife has let me off the hook, for not doing better on the AOTY and( She) said IF I had been able to fish in the summer at all (due to my job) she knows I'd  done a bit better and I don't have to sell any of my kayaks, ::)Like that was not goinga happen anyway. but I hope to fish more in the better month's and try again this year work on some things I've learned. fishing in the NW is way harder then the deep warm south of Fla,Ga,Ala,NC ,and other home place's I've fished, but i still got a few nice fish..here, and I hope to spend more time on the salt too.
