  • Catch a 50 pound + halibut
  • Catch a 35 pound + King ( completely different target than any of the kings I have caught before on my yak as they will be spawners, not feeders)
  • Salmon Slam from the Yak (land all species - not sure how I am going to do sockeyes yet))
  • Specifically target Octopus (Jigs and lair pots)
  • Directly or indirectly get 5 more kayak anglers into the sport in AK

Wow, I her a lot about catching a Halibut from a yak. I've caught Halibut from a charter on a Ugly Stick bass rod and reel and it was fun. I sure bet the yak would be even better. Well hopefully I can get out on the water with some yakers here in Wa. and possibly hook up with some halibut. I'll first have to google Halibut equipment, cuz my Bass stuff won't be to helpful on a yak. Good Luck everyone on your goals!!

Use the same handful of lures all year and lose as few of them as possible to snagging etc.

Volunteer at some upcoming HOW NW events and in addition take at least a few friends kayak fishing who have never done it before.

    • Makes some NW kayak fishing friends
    • Buy my first Solo SOT Fishing Kayak - I've fished the last 7 yrs from a "family size" Cobra Triple. I'm now realizing that this will be more of a "journey" than a destination, which is great.  I've figured out that I need to demo at least 4 different models before I buy.
    • Catch a Salmon from the kayak
    • Catch a Tiger Muskie from the kayak
    • Go Pacific Ocean fishing in a kayak. (I have been once on the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Israel)
    • Catch a bass over 5lbs fly fishing from my kayak
Fishing Kayak - Sunrise OK Trident 13
Cobra Triple - Slate Gray
Most Targeted species: LM/SM Bass
I'm into building and repairing fishing rods
