Man it sounds like so much fun. I'd love to go if I can make it work budget wise. With my wife staying home with the baby there hasn't been as much disposable income as there used to be. Can anyone who's gone in the past do a ballpark estimate for lodging, fuel, and misc expenses?

There was 3 of us that carpooled with a trailer and we camped 4 nights. About $300 each. Not including food/drinks that we bought and brought.

We're planning an extra night this time around and planning to rent a house. If we get 8 guys it'll be $25 a night for 5 nights. Which is only $10 more per night vs camping.

That's so worth it. When can I give you an answer by? Gotta work out some minor details but I'm seriously considering going if you have an open seat.

My seats are full in the truck but we have room in the house.

Olyspec is looking for a carpool buddy. Hopefully he chimes in and you 2 can work it out.

I'll see if we can organize another carpool. I would be interested in room in the house if there's still room. :)

I'm looking at going down if I can swing it. I'm on the NCKA site trolling for a buddy/sponsor now.  I use to live in Nor Cal and love the Lost Coast / Shelter Cove area. I was there with the family for 3 days in 2011 camping out. The last time I fished it by kayak was during the fall of 1994. I remember lots of fog, boomer waves and a coast line that demanded respect. It's in my head to get back there...a stroll down memory lane if you will. If I can't convince Brad to head down with me, there will be room in my rig for another.

My wife and I just put this down on our calendar. If I can find a sponsor I will be joining you on the water. Not sure what we will do for accomodations yet.

I've also been entertaining the idea of attending the GS7. My issue is more in the amount of days I'm gone. Is anyone planning on heading down for maybe just Friday, Saturday and Sunday? I may consider leaving Thursday afternoon. Is anyone else limited on time, but interrested in attending?

@Romanian Redneck - Plans currently are to leave Wed afternoon after work to drive down and come back on Sunday.  If this schedule will work with ya, I would be happy to carpool down with ya.  PM me if you want to hook up and we can sort out the details.

If I can make it I will most likly just fish, NOT as a part of the Kayak tornament,as My dad wants me to fish with him in the boat He built,But I will have a kayak with me too, and That was my home waters for a long time.I've lots of friends in the area. But it would Be cool to Cheer Everyone on..That way there will be a extra spot not filled by me on the NWKA team.

Since these are home waters for you, there might be a position for team adviser.  ;D
