Fingers crossed! Weather is iffy but if they let the small boats go, we should be a go too!

Ok. Weather is still iffy. Lets make the default meetup at 700am at bishops beach parking lot. But do NOT unload till we ascertain we are going to try the bluffs.

I don't want to be Debbie downer but the forecast sucks! Right now it looks like Saturday is sandwiched right between some real crap. I was also hoping on fishing out in the inlet on Sunday but doubt that is goin to happen

Be safe out there tomorrow, guys. Don't let your good sense be clouded by dreams of a payday fish and all the glory.  Saturday does look like the best fishing window -- so maybe it will widen.  Keeping a good thought for that. Have fun!

If the powerboats are a go.  I am a go.  I can say that since I know the powers to be will be fairly conservative.  There will be lots of 18 to 22 ft boats that are moe freshwater/saltwater hybrids.  We are more stable and safe than those boats.

It's forecast like this one that if you don't go down, the afternoon will be flat calm and bluebird.  Last Sat, in the morning, I was in 3 to 4 ft waves getting soaked every 5th wave.  Then 2 hours later, it was BEAUTIFUL!

As of right now I am more worried about the drive down.  Also the only thing I might bring extra is my pop up ice shack and propane heater so we have a dry warm place to maybe wait out conditions.

It's a lot of money, time, and effort for a very early season torunament.  I can completely understand if anyone makes a "no go" decision.

Matt, if you cancel just let me know.  But if you bring your gear down, I will pitch in funds for the extra trouble and gas.

I'm currently watching kayak fishing videos. Trying to get all the negativity out of my system! I'll be loading gear shortly. I'll have my arctic oven tent set up with a stove in it if we need to hang out

I know what you mean. I've been so worked up over this and given the great weather we have been having, it's a major bummer. In some ways I wish it was calling for 10ft and 50knts.

BUT it's NOT!  4ft is the edge of doable when forecasted. I can do four. Just don't want four to turn to six or seven.

If they go, we might have to wait for a noon window. If they don't go and we get the window, I'm going. 

Still green light but I'm still sitting around a conf table. Arghh.
