Anyone know what the one day license cost? and the invasive species. Coming from California and need to get that setup...

One day license is $16.75
Two day is $31.50
Invasive permit is $7.00

All resident/non-resident...day licensing also includes salmon/steelhead/halibut tag

Licensing can be done online through ODFW...
However, I highly recommend stopping in somewhere on your way up and getting it...
My faith in the ODFW online stuff is, well, minimal at best...

If you've never had a license in Oregon before, you'll need your California driver's license (all your info is on it)...
I set guys up all the time from California...just takes a couple minutes

Chinook Bend, the campground most of us will be staying at, and the location of the prize ceremony and taco feed on that Saturday, is a license dealer and is able to hook you up with all of the required papers.

While this would be convenient, with tons of people showing up on Friday they are going to be crazy busy.  I don't know that I'd want to rely on this.

Hey Greg-

This is exactly how I did it last year. Chinook Bend, and done in a couple minutes. I was already in ODFW's system since I've had licenses and invasive species permits before, but the process was painless enough and in sure the folks at chinook bend are perfectly capable. Last year I left here at 3am Friday and was at chinook bend around 11 after stopping to explore Depoe bay for a bit.

I'm going to do the same thing this year.

Just out of curiosity....

Is there still room?

And, anyone know of an extra kayak if someone from AK were to come down for this?

There is still room!  There's a kayak down here for you somewhere so I wouldn't worry about that part.

  PM sent with some info.

I'm sure someone can pick you up in PDX for transport down to Depoe Bay as well.

Hope you can make it..you'll have so much fun.

I just realized I absolutely need a Hobie for the upcoming Buoy 10 season.  Looking forward to picking it up at ORC!

Will there be further instructions/information at some point regarding the mechanics of the tourney, for us first-timers?

Questions I have (may be covered in previous years' threads, but I have no way of knowing if it will be the same this year):

- Is the weigh-in at the dock in Depoe Bay or at Chinook Bend?

- What is the best way to get from Chinook Bend to Depoe Bay?

- For people not staying at CB, can we hose off our yaks there after the tourney before we head back to where we're staying?

- What are the times/locations for the various meetings, such as the Captain's Meeting, and the Coast Guard safety check?

- Is there a check-in on the morning-of, and if so where is it?
