+1 Garbage.. Kimi is only interesting thing on it.  I like how Robbie chased off Jon Jon with threats, because he is a foot taller... but immediately went to Boogies stretch of water and didn't care he was encroaching on someone else.  Typical bully douche.  And the mortally wounded tuna he lost just shows hes a rank amateur.

hey guys.. thanks for tuning into the show.. its pretty real so far.. yes you can see some editing flaws.. and there is some drama... but some of these issues are very real and have been going on for some time as pole pole mentioned... my time is coming up.. I am going to snap hard for being disrespected on the water.. its real.. I was in a bad mood and got egged into it... not happy about it but it is real.. so don't get all mad at me when you see me snap... all in all its a good thing for us who have worked very hard to be here... it is a good thing for Hawaii and it is a good thing for kayak fishing.. I think it will open up a lot of doors for everyone.. thanks again for watching.. MAHALO PS yes this show can be better but imagine that it was a monster of a beast to take on.. we all learned a lot... so did production.. it will get better..

Thanks for the reply, thats pretty stand up Boogie.  I watch the show and agree the editors have taken away from the reality of endeavor to give the non-angler flat landers something to gawk at.  I know if it were us they would hope to show NWKA members in fist fights with the Dory men down at the Sportsman's Pub in Pacific City.  The reality is it's a tough crowd when you have other yakkers watching the show, but keep on fishing, give us some sweet fish porn, and be careful.
Peace Out,
Scott

That was Robbie chasing off Jon Jon, not Isaac.

Gotcha... still learning who they are.  Thought Boogie was legit, and was happy to see at least he, and his partner wearing PFDs.  and garbage is a bit harsh in retrospect.  It's totally watchable but Discovery always has to do the over the top camera and plot lines.  Totally jealous of the size fish available within a few minutes paddle too.

Hehe, Rob Wong Yuen is an amateur, that's funny!  :D

Make no mistake, ALL of these guys(and gal) are serious veterans of this community. I did get a good chuckle out of that lost tuna, but even veterans of this sport make slip-ups now and again that may cost them a beautiful fish....  ;D ;D ;D

Seriously though, I LOVE the shots of big fish rodeos and beautiful scenery this show provides.  And while I get that the producers of the show must have needed something more than just beautiful scenery and big fish rodeos for their production(don't ask me why ::)), I shouldn't catch myself shaking my head so often.  After all, at the end of the day, this is fishing, not a soap opera.  :D  If Boggie tells me to stick with it though, I'll stick with it.  Those shots of the Mahis in that last episode were SIIIIIIIICCKKKK!!!!   :headbang:

You are right he is no amateur.  Just was really turned off by bullying the smaller guy.

Don't worry,  actual kayak fishers probably make up less than 1% of the audience,  so our disappointment won't affect your ratings too much.

I love the actual fishing action,  loathe the gold rush formatting.

Rawk, that video made me want to cry.  Awesome catch, beautiful fish, sad sad ending; something that would have RUINED me for long time.

Thanks Rummy. I did feel like crying. I was really bummed... Until I hooked into another one 20 min later... That was about 20 lbs bigger.  >:D

Excellent scripting, and character development.  It will greatly help and promote our sport to a much greater audience.   Give them a chance and your support!  Personally can't wait for the next episode.

Just to put this in perspective... these guys are such good kayak fisherman that they are able to catch fish that have already been gutted and cleaned:

That's not gutted.  Marlin have long skinny pelvic fins that fold back into a ventral groove.  That groove is what you are seeing.
