I've got some frozen 51-60 ct uncooked shrimp in my freezer. I use it for steelhead, will sturgeon go for it too?  I could unthaw a bag.

I am going to try some as well.  Dick's had no sand shrimp.  I am headed to Fisherman's in an attempt to get some now.

DTS, we will see you there.

OK, I'll be ready to launch from Camas at 8:30, it takes about 45 minutes to rig my beast so I'll arrive at 7:45. FWCaster is driving all the way down from Federal Way to join me. I was going to pick up some herring so we'll have some variety out there.

Trying to decide if I bite the bullet and buy an Ugly Stik Tiger (saw one a Bi-Mart for $55 today) or just use my 8' Salmon rod with the 30# braid.

I have a brand new one still in the shrink wrap with the free T-shirt offer.  I would be willing to part with it for $50.  It is a casting rod, I need a spinning rod.  I can bring it and show you if you are interested.  In fact, you could take it for a test drive if you have a reel with line.

Guys just wanted to give you a heads up since I am on the river for work. In the last few days the Willy went from 4' to 9'and climbing, according to the river gauge out side of the station this afternoon. Their is also large amounts of debris making its way down stream, have seen enough to build a large house. Be careful out there on Black Fri.

Craig,

Bring it along. I bought a Roddy boat rod today for $39. But I'm happy to take a look.

Was set to meet up with y'all but...  Her family is in town + lost my anchor again (yep in one of those streaks) = future get out of jail free card, or so I hope ;D.  Anyways, yes the river is up, be careful.  I have been getting good results with cured (not sure if it matters) prawns and performing a weak z injection then wrapping a earthworm around and covering the bundle with a sturgeon feast jelly.

Ihop the Columbia is not so bad. It holds greater volume of water, but it will be moving right along. It will have debris also but not as thick as the Willy, just keep your head on a swivel.

I usually double up on my socks.  The outer layer being very thick wool socks.  It makes a big difference for me, but now my neoprene booties are a little tight.  Bring a measuring device if your intent is to keep one.  Oh, and you might want a reel filled with line on that pole.  ;D

Also, I have plenty of pre-tied leaders and hooks.

Gon-fishin, thanks for the tips.  I had great luck with Jammer a few weeks ago with the cured sand shrimp.  The only thing I didn't like was they are a little mushy and don't stay on the hook as well for me.

Hey guys I thought I'd let you know I'm planning on coming up and joining your floatilla of yaks on Friday.  I'm going to launch from Chinook. I hope to get there about 7:00-7:30.  What channel are you going to have your radios on?  Like Craig I'm desperately seeking atoy points.
