We could not have asked for a more beautiful day.  The Bic C was like glass.  Here is Yaksurf off in the distance.


Sinker, Joesnuffy, Ihoppa, and FWcaster all rigging up.  Towards the end of the day a few of us rafted up on the portable Island.





Joesnuffy was the first to hook into one.  Here is a couple action shots:

Then it was DTS' turn to lose the title of sturgeon virgin (or is that lose his sturgeonity??):





And here is the one I caught towards the end.  It bent the rod and fought like a keeper, but as usual on a retention day, it wasn't. 




I would like to thank you guys for the fun day of fishing, and I hope to have fun again tomorrow on the Willamette.

Thanks.  I thought for sure it would be a keeper.  It sure felt like one at first.  I even got off anchor and played it towards shore so it would be easier to measure.  Probably jinxed myself.

I lost out twice, I didn't hook up with you guys, and Sportsmen's Warehouse had a typo in their black Friday flyer. They sold all their entire stock of Lamiglas rods at $100 a piece.

We found the legal and almost over-sized fish today.  Some guys are still out there. Gotta love the Willamette!  Deepcolor landed a monster just before I left. I can't wait til February. I will post the picture in the Willamette hook-up.
