Pros: titanium .... push button locking harness.

Cons: pointed blade

I like it but would love it if it had a blunt tip.

Nice little pig sticker there. Put it in a pocket or someplace safe as a backup in case of emergency. Look up Gerber Rivermate. Much more suitable for what you suggest you want to do with it.
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

I purchased the rivermate by Gerber nice knife blunt tip fits perfect on my PFD. I don't really think a tip on a emergency knife is important. The river mate has a shradded edge and sharp.
I worked on a 90' shimpper/dragger for 4 years and I wish they had the rivermate then. Our knife was for emergency only to cut rigging off yourself if intangled. So the sharp tip is kinda dangerous for self rescue.

I like titanium. Looks slick.
For another option check out the NRS Pilot and Copilot.

I actually bought the pilot from Outdoorplay. Got to support the Homies when in reason which is why I buy Full Sail Ale when available.

What's with liking blunt tips?

I used one for years as it was left over from my whitewater days and can see the necessity in fast moving water.  But after I lost it, I replaced with a pointy knife, which works great in the relatively calmer waters we fish.

Kind of what I was thinking, not to mention a hard shell hull vs an inflatable.  I spent the $ then wondered "why".  what am I gonna puncture?  But it is recommended for my SeaEagle lol.

Hmmm ... I guess I just do. My bait knife is pointy. In fact every other knife I own is pointy. I guess I think of a rescue knife as something that may get slashed around in the freeing process and the last thing I would want would be to free myself from an entanglement only to punch a hole in my suit and now worry about hypothermia.

My safety knife doesn't get used ever for daily things and is always very sharp.
