In fact, I know The Nothing keeps his garden/farm up to date between bites out in his kayak on his iPhone.  ;D

Now, while I might spend a lot of time online, i do not have a farm or a garden... I do gotta keep the fishing up to date though!  And the phone seems to be pretty good at telling me the water is wet

I have no problem leading some clinics if people want/need that. I wasn't planning on competing to heavy (or at least keeping any prizes I may/may not win  >:D) I'm pretty much open, what ever you guys want/need me to do I'm fine with. If we get totally blown out at Depoe......just keep me in mind for backup entertainment.

J

Thanks Jason, I'll pencil myself in for an after paddle foot rub and a back message from ya.
BTW, I like EEVOO please......applied warm.

It's amazing what I'll do to get out of cooking/dishwashing duties. ;)

See...now you are showing your true colors.   You offered without boundries, so no take backs.  :whip2:

What?  You know NANOOKY has some mad paddling skills, so I figure he ought to be just as skilled with EEVOO applied with some mad techinque.  I'll talk him into penciling you in too if you clean my fish.

Ya mean "gawking" or "rubbernecking"?

I'm not sure I get your lingo?

Guys just floating making sure everyone is safe/trouble free and who intervene should an issue arise. Most of the ocean events I've participated in have people on the water there only to keep an eye out for trouble, and to assist when people need help. Just wondering if we have those people set for this tournament or if it's all for one & one for all.

because I'd be happy to help with that too if needed, but I'm pretty sure they all ready have that taken care of.

Ahhhh, now I get it. Good point!

Haven't heard anyone mention or request anything along those lines yet.

Would also make good photo opportunities for those just bobbing around out there.

How about a detailed map of the area with notations on what you can find where and with what lure?

Spot - thanks, that is extremely helpful!  I'll definitely be studying DepoeBayDan's post.  If anyone's interested in going out Friday for a few hours (conditions permitting), let me know.  I'll be getting in Thursday evening.

Oh - also, one question about the rules...not that I'm trying to win or anything ;)

The guy bringing in the heaviest single fish of any species wins, correct?  If that's so, wouldn't it make sense to target lingcod specifically?  Up here in the San Juans, the rockfish don't usually get too big.  But they may on the Pacific coast.

I've caught plenty of rockfish in the area that have topped 3 lbs.. Small lings are too skinny to stack up to that. But of course, a nice ling, yeah, that'll work.
